Peace Layton

Having always been passionate about working with young children, Peace is delighted to be teaching Kindergarten at AESA. Peace has a BS in Early Childhood Education and is also a certified handwriting specialist with Learning Without Tears.

 

After years of coaching and teaching art to elementary and high school students in the Austin area, Peace decided her future as an educator lay in the early childhood classroom. She believes that play and hands-on experiences are essential for the development of the whole child. She hopes that all of the children who pass through her class learn skills to foster independence, a sense of confidence in their abilities, and a love of stories.

In her free time, Peace enjoys spending time in nature, reading a good book, and is a talented watercolor artist.
