Maya Fincher

Maya Fincher is a dedicated elementary art and music teacher at AESA Prep Academy, bringing a decade of experience in the fine arts. A graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography, Maya has spent the last ten years immersed in artistic expression, both as a freelance photographer and as a swim coach. Her commitment to education is driven by her deep passion for working with children, a connection nurtured by her own inspiring art teachers.

Growing up in The Woodlands, Texas, Maya's journey into education was motivated by her desire to introduce children to new forms of art and creative expression. She believes in the reciprocal nature of teaching, where students teach her as much as she imparts to them. Her goal at AESA Prep Academy is to foster a safe and inspiring environment that encourages creativity and a love for art history.

 

Outside the classroom, Maya enjoys spending time with friends, exploring nature, and discovering new coffee spots and restaurants. She is supported by her close-knit family, including her sister and parents, who have always encouraged her to pursue a fulfilling career.
