Diego has been a vibrant and positive force at AESA Prep Academy since beginning his career in education in 2016. He views it as an opportunity to open students’ minds to other cultures, enriching their lives with new perspectives.

Diego's passion for education is deeply rooted in his personal background and professional experiences. Born and raised in McAllen, Texas, a culturally diverse border town where Mexican and American cultures intersect, Diego grew up in a household where Spanish was the primary language, while he assimilated into American culture through the education system. This blend of cultures has profoundly shaped his teaching philosophy.

Diego holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and he holds a teaching certification in Spanish Education.​ Diego’s decision to transition to education was driven by a deep appreciation for the learning process and the joy of witnessing students grasp new concepts and skills. His broad professional experience has equipped him with a unique ability to recognize and bridge cultural gaps, which he eagerly shares with his students.

At AESA Prep Academy, Diego aims to foster an environment where students embrace and appreciate different cultures, understanding the enrichment this brings to their lives. His teaching philosophy centers around using communication to bridge cultures and bring people closer together.

Outside of teaching, Diego enjoys biking, tennis, hiking, and exploring parks with his daughter. His commitment to multiculturalism and his diverse experiences make him a standout educator dedicated to broadening his students’ horizons.
